FRC Action's Tony Perkins Endorses Ken Blackwell for RNC
Chairman by
Family Research Center
Washington, D.C.--Family Research Council Action
President Tony Perkins issued an unprecedented endorsement
of Ken Blackwell in his race for chairman of the Republican
National Committee.
"While I have historically declined involvement in political
party elections, the opportunity to see fundamental change
in a Republican Party that has lost its way, is a compelling
reason to support and encourage others to support Ken
Blackwell for chairman of the National Republican Committee.
For many years, I have known and worked with Ken Blackwell
on the toughest issues facing families and our country. He
has a distinguished record of service and achievement as a
finance executive,entrepreneur, diplomat, educator and
independent corporate director. As Family Research
Council's Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment, Ken has led
our efforts to address family economics, tax reform, and
education.
"Ken Blackwell is a true advocate for the fiscal and social
values that best uphold and strengthen families. Last
summer, Ken served as vice chairman of the 2008 Platform
Committee which adopted one of the strongest pro-life,
pro-family platforms in history. His extensive campaign
experience and commitment to conservative principles will
serve the RNC well. Ken is the clear choice in this race
and why I am proud to support him for RNC chairman."
